Grant County Divorce Records

When a married couple in Grant County files for divorce in court, a series of documents known as divorce records are created. These records assist the court in keeping track of everything that occurs during the course of the case, from the first paperwork to the judge's final ruling. Divorce records are preserved in the same system as custody, child support, and other family concerns, as these issues frequently arise during divorce proceedings. All of these records are kept on file with the Grant County Clerk of Circuit Court.

Most of these records are public. The public can see the court calendar, the divorce petition, and the final verdict. However, some documents remain confidential. Financial documents and medical history are automatically kept private since they contain personal information that should not be seen by everyone.
